Art roundup: weekend of May 15-16

Come out for a symposium discussing the growth of the creative economy in Georgia and outlining strategies for dealing with various challenges related to the arts community. Panelists include Lauren Flotte (Art Rise Savannah), Harry Delorme (Senior Curator of Education for Telfair Museums), Eileen Baker (President/CEO of Arts Georgia), and others. Non-Fiction Gallery will host an opening reception for Invitation to Mindfulness, an exhibition by fiber artist Kyoko Matsuyama on Friday, May 15 from 6 – 9pm. The three-dimensional fiber works will remain on view until Tuesday, May 19.
