Head over to the Jepson Center for Art on Tap: Jepson Unplugged on Friday, September 18 at 8pm. The Jepson Center will transform into a “coffeehouse” in celebration of the Come As You Are exhibition which closes on the 20th. Coy Campbell of Nightingale News will perform acoustic versions of classic 90s songs by Nirvana, The Pixies and more. Wine and beer will be available from a cash bar. The City of Savannah Department of Cultural Affairs presents “Parent & Child: Beasts and Creatures in Fables, Oh My!” on Saturday, September 19 from 10am – noon at the Cultural Affairs gallery (9 W Henry St.). Participants will listen to stories of animals in classic Greek fables and then get the chance to build, sculpt and draw scenes to creatively express those tales. Works will be sealed and fired with a clear glaze to be picked up after the workshop. The cost of attendance is $10 for city residents. Click here for more information.
