Art Roundup: Week of July 17 – 23

Head down to Morrell Park (East River St.) on Friday, July 17 from 3 – 8pm for an evening of storytelling, art, dance, and music at the ManiFest Healing Arts Gathering & Sound Healing Experience. Gallery Espresso will host an opening reception for Robert Patrick’s photography exhibition on Friday, July 17 from 6 – 8pm. Click here for more information.

The Savannah Stage Company presents Carrie Smith Lewis’ adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Ampersand on Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18 at 8pm. This particular adaptation of Shakespeare’s quintessential romantic comedy uses only six actors to play nineteen parts. Click here for more information or to purchase tickets.

The Savannah Bazaar is back at Ampersand on Saturday, July 18 from 1 – 6pm. This monthly free event features live music, live poetry, live painting, and a multitude of art vendors. Click here for more information.

Discover the fun of tie-dye at an Iced Tie-Dye Workshop on Sunday, July 19 at 2pm at Sulfur Studios. Bring one white cotton T-shirt or tank top and receive instruction on different tying methods. Woody Cornwell will host the first in a series of a workshops called Abstract Art – Painting and Design on Wednesday, July 22 from 7 – 9pm.
