Help Art Rise Savannah paint some signs for the upcoming October First Friday Art March! We’ll be at Starlandia Supply (2438 Bull St.) on Saturday, September 24 from 3 – 5pm painting up a storm. Head down to Non-Fiction Gallery (1522 Bull St.) on Saturday, September 24 and Sunday, September 25 at 6:30pm for screenings of PBS’s Peabody Award-winning documentary program ART21. ART21 is the only series on television to focus exclusively on contemporary visual art and artists in the US. Non-Fiction Gallery is the only ART21 screening location in Savannah. Brainstorm, a collaborative installation from Troy Wandzel and AJ Perez, opens at Sulfur Studios (2301 Bull St.) on Tuesday, September 27 at 7pm and remains up until October 7. Visitors are invited to participate in the artwork. Click here for more information.

 

Art Rise Savannah will host an evening of art trivia at The Florence (1 W. Victory Dr.) on Wednesday, September 28 from 7 – 10pm. The event will take place in The Florence’s upstairs bar. Art & Sole, an auction of artwork by local artists to benefit the Rape Crisis Center of the Coastal Empire, will take place on Thursday, September 29 at 5:30pm at Fleet Feet Sports Savannah (3405 Waters Ave.). Artists have created paintings and sculptural artworks out of painted shoe soles. Bidding begins at the store on Monday, September 26! Click here for more information.

 


Smith Brothers Butcher Shop (535 E. Liberty St.) will host An Evening with Meyer Slater Art on Thursday, September 29 from 6 – 7:30pm. The event is an interactive presentation of art by Savannah artist Elizabeth Slater. Tickets are $25 per person. Click here for more information.
