Don’t miss Paprika Southern’s Spring Release Party on Friday, March 25 from 5 – 7pm at Kendra Scott (311 W Broughton St.). Bazaar Conceptions, Armstrong University’s first all-graphic design senior exhibition, has its opening reception on Friday, March 25 starting at 5:30pm in Armstrong’s Fine Arts gallery (11935 Abercorn St.). Work by Elizabeth Rhaney, CC Witt, Kim Crabtree, Holly Nance, and Haley Geller will be on display. Click here for more information.



In preparation for the 50th First Friday Art March/Better Block event, Art Rise Savannah and the SDRA are hosting a Better Block Work Day on Saturday, March 26 from 11am – 4pm. Starlandia Supply (2438 Bull St.) will hold a Found Poetry Workshop and Reading on Saturday, March 26 from noon – 2pm. The first part of the workshop will explore the history of found poetry (or “blackout” poetry) and the second will feature a collaborative poem activity. The workshop is led by Rainé, a local artist, drag queen and writer. The cost of the workshop is $5 for supplies. Click here for more information.



The Savannah Bazaar brings you a Spring Carnival Bazaar on Saturday, March 26 from 3 – 8pm at Jelinek Creative Spaces (101 Fahm St.). Kimberly Paige English will hold a reception for her senior exhibition of fibers work on Saturday, March 26 from 6 – 9pm at the Whitefield Center (106 E. 37th St.). Some of English’s favorite works from her time at SCAD will be on display. Click here for more information.



Spitfire Saturdays continue with the Spitfire Poetry Group’s latest open mic/showcase event on Saturday, March 26 at Muse Art Warehouse (703 Louisville Rd.) from 7:30 – 10:30pm. Artists of all genres are invited to bring their best, most provocative material to perform. The cost is $7 to spit or $10 to sit. Click here for more information.


Vanessa German, one of the artists whose work is displayed in the Jepson Center’s State of the Art exhibition, will give a lecture at the Jepson Center on Thursday, March 31 at 6pm. German creates compelling works that invoke her mission to protect children endangered by circumstance and location. The lecture is free for Telfair Museums members and $12 for non members.
