Art Roundup: Jan. 29 – Feb. 4

Danny Rozin, this year’s featured artist at Telfair Museums’ PULSE Art + Technology Festival, will deliver a lecture about his mechanical mirrors at the Jepson Center on Friday, January 29 at 6pm. Click here for more information.

 

Non-Fiction Gallery will host the opening reception for Gallery 2033, an exhibition set in the year 2033, on Friday, January 29 from 6 – 9pm. Wifi Gods Reign, a performance produced by Alexis Javier and Vinay Arora, will debut as part of the PULSE Art + Technology at the Jepson Center for the Arts on Saturday, January 30 at 1:30pm. January’s Savannah Bazaar event takes place on Saturday, January 30 from 3 – 5pm at Jelinek Creative Spaces (101 Fahm St.). This month’s Bazaar features live entertainment, food, beer, kid’s activities, and an art show inside the Jelinek gallery. Click here for more information.

Telfair Museums’ call for entries to the Boxed In/Break Out exhibition opportunity ends on Monday, February 1 at 11:59pm. The chosen artist will receive a $1,000 honorarium and the chance to have their work shown in a window installation at the Jepson Center for the Arts from April 28 – August 28. Starlandia Supply will host a “Power Hour Workshop” on Wednesday, February 3 at 2pm. The workshop will be a Zine Show & Tell, led by Liz Rhaney. Attendees are invited to bring their favorite zines or DIY publications to share with participants as everybody works on their own new pages for a collaborative zine.
