Art RoundUp: Jan. 22 – 28

The Urban Gypsy Trunk Show will be open at Sulfur Studios all weekend starting with Friday, January 22 from noon – 8pm. (Also open Saturday, January 23 from noon – 8pm and Sunday, January 24 from noon – 7pm.)

The Fiber Guild of Savannah presents “A Taste of Nuno Felting” on Saturday, January 23 from 1 – 4pm. This felting workshop will teach students how to make a scarf using “nuno”, a wet felting technique. There is a materials fee of $15 for this workshop. Click here for more information.

 

Sulfur Studios will hold their first volunteer interest meeting of 2016 on Sunday, January 24 at 7pm. They’re seeking help in the areas of event documentation, social media/web design, docenting, event help and more. Click here for more information.

 

Telfair Museums’ PULSE Art + Technology Festival kicks off on Wednesday, January 27 with an opening night lecture at 6pm by artists Nova Jiang, Louise Foo and Martha Skou. A reception will follow the lecture, featuring music from DJ C Powers and interactive projections by Keith Roberson.

 

 

PULSE continues on Thursday, January 28 with an 11am PULSE Artists Panel for Students with artists Nova Jiang, Louise Foo and Martha Skou. At 6pm, the 2nd Annual International GIF Festival kicks off in the Jepson Center auditorium. Admission is by PULSE Pass. Click here for more information.

The Lee O’Neil Gallery premieres their latest group show, The Print, on Thursday, January 28 with an opening reception from 7 – 9pm. The show will feature works from Cameron Allen, COLTALITY, Jeff Doran, Ginx Hudgins, Kory Jean Kingsley, and more. Click here for more information.
